About the Mountain View Garden Club...
A Plant Exchange & Marketplace is the club's major fund raiser and is held the first Sunday in June at the Clifford Township picnic grounds. Bus trips and field trips are held periodically to different garden sites. Community projects and plantings are also part of the club activities.
The Mountain View Garden Club is pleased to announce that nominations are being accepted for its annual Hometown Pride Award. For details, please click here.
Each year, the Garden Club awards an Annual Scholarship in
the amount of $500 to a graduating Mountain View and
Forest City High School senior enrolled in a college or university
or certificate program to pursue a career related to land, plants
or the environment. To download a scholarship form click here.
In May 2008, the Countryside Conservancy announced the Mountain View Garden Club as one of ten property owners/caretakers selected as a winner for a Stewardship Award in our region. The Garden Club was recognized in the Special Use category for our beautification and greening efforts in the greater Clifford area.
Since forming in 2005, the Garden Club has been busy fulfilling our mission. A time line of the club's activities was created in July 2006 for inclusion in the Clifford Township Veteran's Memorial time capsule which is scheduled for opening in July 2056. Click here to download and read more.
